Play center
Bowie Recreation Council will offer summer preschool play sessions for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds at Tulip Grove Elementary School. Sessions will be July 7-18 and July 21-Aug. 1. Bird walks
Prince George's Audubon Society will host half-day bird walks July 5 and Aug. 2 at 7:30 a.m. at Fran Uhler Natural Area. Meet at the end of Lemon Bridge Road.
Bird walks will also be held at Governor Bridge Natural Area July 19 and Aug. 16 at 7:30 a.m. Meet at the parking lot.

Scouts recycle

Tire pickup
Tires from cars and pickups are collected only through a special pickup. Each household is permitted to dispose of only five tires yearly. To arrange for a special tire pickup, call 301-809-2344 before noon Tuesday, for that Wednesday's pickup.
